The use of canopies has become increasingly popular in the past few years, owing to the versatility it offers. Perfect for either professional or personal use, the canopy can fit just about any and every important occasion in a person's life. Parties, corporate events, and camping trips are just some of the common uses of these. Of course, canopy fittings are needed in order to keep these modified tents standing.

What are Canopy Fittings?

Canopy fittings are used to connect the poles of a canopy, making these literally the things that hold canopies together. The canopy parts can determine the design and the durability of canopies, which is why it's important to choose the canopy fittings you will be using. A canopy fitting is usually made of stainless steel and is flame and sun resistant so as to make the parts durable and long-lasting.

Different Kinds of Canopy Fittings

There are different kinds of canopy fittings to suit the unique needs of people. The main differences between these include:

• Angle. Canopy settings can have low angle, high angle, and flat roof fittings. Low peak canopy settings are used when concealment is needed, such as in cases where you would want to have shelter and shade outdoors without bringing too much attention to your surroundings. High angle canopy settings are commonly used in commercial events. These usually have a 120-degree angle and built so as to be able to secure the canopy in place, even with its high angle. Flat roof canopy settings have a 90-degree angle and lie flat.

• Sizes. The canopy settings can also differ in terms of the size. It's important to get settings that can actually hold the poles together.

• Material. While stainless steel is the most common material used in canopy settings, aluminum, bronze, and other materials can also be used to make these canopy parts.

Installing Canopy Fittings

Whether you're installing your canopy for the first time or looking to replace worn-out canopy settings, you will need to know the basic information on how to set these up. The important things you will need to know include:

• The slope of the roof. The canopy settings you buy will depend on what style you want your canopy to have. If you want a high roof, you'll want to get the high-angle fittings. If you want a canopy that's level with the ground, you'll want the flat roof canopy settings. If you're going camping and don't want to bring too much attention to yourself from both man and wild, you'll probably prefer getting low-angle fittings.

• Foot pad canopy fittings form the base of your poles. These are perpendicular in shape and will usually have holes to help you secure the poles to the ground.

• Peak end canopy fittings connect the center pole with the end frame poles to secure the canopy.

If you're looking for replacement parts, it's a good idea to bring out the worn-out canopy setting to the store where you'll be buying the replacement. That way, you can be sure of getting the exact make and model.
